Know where every customer came from

Every lead is tagged with where it came from: Google, your ads or a referral. The tag stays when they book, so at the end of the month you see which source brought bookings and which one just brought clicks.

What changes

Know which ads actually book

Guessing which ad worked

A source on every lead

Asking "how did you hear about us?" and losing the answer

Bookings counted by source

Money spent on channels that never book

Referrals tracked too

How it works

Every lead, from first price to booking

One list of every lead, where it came from and where it stands.

  1. Google, your ads or a referral: each lead is tagged with where it came from as it comes in, from your quote form, booking page or contact form. Nobody has to remember to ask.

What's included

Everything in lead tracking

  • Lead source tracking
  • Google, ads and referrals
  • Bookings by source

One month of leads

The month the ads lost the argument

Nobody had to remember to ask how they heard about you. It was on every lead already.

  1. October 1.You put $420 into ads for the month, same as September. September felt busy. Nobody's sure why.
  2. October 2, 11:38 PM.Priya Shah finds you on Google and prices a deep clean at 21 Elm St. Four minutes later she books, $290 plus HST. The lead says Google, and so does the booking.
  3. October 9.Lina T. books a standard clean at 9 Birch Cres. She came by referral, and that's on her lead before anyone asks.
  4. October 17.The seventh lead from the ads comes in. It gets its three follow-up emails. It doesn't book either.
  5. October 31, 4 PM.You open leads by source. Google: 11 leads, 6 booked. Referrals: 5 leads, 4 booked. Ads: 7 leads, 1 booked.
  6. October 31, 4:05 PM.The math fits on a sticky note: $420 for one booking. September's ad leads were probably the same.
  7. November 1.You halve the ads and print door hangers with your booking link for the streets you already clean.

Questions

What owners ask about lead tracking

How do I know which ad actually brings bookings?

Every lead is tagged with where it came from, and the tag stays on it when it books. At the end of the month you see leads and bookings for each source side by side. Put what you spent next to it and the math is short: $420 on ads for one booking is a $420 booking.

What counts as a lead?

Anyone who comes in through your quote form, booking page or contact form. Every price check is saved as a lead with its quote, even when the customer doesn't book, so the people who went quiet are on the list too.

How do I track referrals?

Referral is a source like Google and ads. Referral leads and the bookings they turn into are counted on their own line, so you can see whether word of mouth is doing more than you thought. It usually is.

Does the source stay when a lead books?

Yes. The source is saved on the lead and kept on the booking, so a customer who priced a clean from Google on Friday night and booked four minutes later still counts as a Google booking.

Is this a CRM?

It's the part of one that deals with leads: where each one came from and where it stands. Once someone books, their bookings, history and notes live in the customer database, in the same login.

What happens to leads that don't book?

They get three short follow-up emails over the following days, written in your company's voice. The moment they book, the emails stop. You can edit the wording or switch the sequence off.
