Our story
Built by a cleaning company, for cleaning companies
More Knocks started inside a real cleaning company. Clean Papi, a Toronto cleaning business, couldn't find software that handled quoting, payments, crews and Canadian tax the way a small cleaning company needs. So it built its own.
It worked because every step became a system. A customer lands on the site, sees an instant price range and books the clean. One email asks for photos of the space; another puts a small deposit and their card on file, so they pay the rest once the job is done. Work that used to be done by hand now runs on its own and saves hundreds of hours every month, while Clean Papi grew from 2 customers a month to 167 in six months.
We run on one rule: if you're doing the same thing three times, build a system for it. More Knocks is that system for cleaning companies, so owners can stop running the paperwork and get on with building their cleaning business empire.
There's more than enough work in cleaning for hundreds of companies to thrive. Most that don't make it aren't short on customers; they're short on time, resources and the tools they don't know exist. The system we built is what made us efficient and gave us our time back. Now we're handing it to the cleaning business owners still running every day from their phone.

Co-founder. Founder of Clean Papi
Nayan
Runs a Toronto cleaning company and built the software it runs on.
In the fall of 2025, Nayan was vibe-coding a website for a cleaning company that barely existed yet. On November 5th, somebody booked. He couldn't quite believe it.
He called the customer, wrote down everything they wanted cleaned, and quoted a price on the spot while checking going rates on ChatGPT. Half-sure it was a prank, he asked for a deposit. "Sure, send me a payment link," the customer said. Nayan suggested an e-transfer instead; the customer said no, that didn't feel safe. So he made a payment link with Stripe, and at 10 PM that night the deposit came in. Nayan and a friend cleaned the house, and the customer happily paid the rest.
Then the hard part started. He underquoted job after job. Some clients didn't pay. Some cleaners didn't show up. Every address, key code and schedule lived somewhere different, in texts, notes and his own head, so managing the crew meant hunting for information before he could do anything with it.
He went looking for software and found pieces. Bookings, accounting, crew management, marketing and payments each needed their own subscription: five tools at about $40 a month each, none of them talking to the others. And every one was built for every trade at once, so none of them fit the way a cleaning company actually runs.
So he built his own. For the next six months, Nayan worked on one question: how to systemize Clean Papi so it didn't need him in the middle of every booking. The answer became More Knocks.

Co-founder and CTO
Landon Lapensee
Spent years automating other people's businesses and wanted to build one of his own.
Landon has spent years building automation for local service businesses: contractors, trades, the companies that keep a city running. The work always started the same way. An owner would describe the job they did every night after the real work was done, and Landon would build the system that did it for them.
He'd always wanted to build a company of his own, one that could help those businesses at scale instead of one at a time. When his friend Nayan showed him what he'd built to run Clean Papi, he saw it: a system already proven on real jobs, built for an industry most software treats as an afterthought.
He came on to turn one company's system into a platform any cleaning company can set up, and builds it from British Columbia.
