Product/To run the company/Automations
The follow-up you never have time for, done for you
Eight emails go out on every job without anyone typing them: the booking confirmation, the day-before reminder, on my way, the receipt and tip, the review request, the rebook nudge, the quote follow-up and the card-failed notice. You change the words once. They're sent from your company name.
What changes
The follow-up, on every job
Reminders sent when the owner remembers
Confirmations and reminders on every job
No-shows because the customer forgot
Thank-you, tip and review requests after every clean
No thank-you, no review request, no rebook
Rebook nudges for one-time customers
How it works
Eight emails, one switch each
They're already written. Read them once, change what doesn't sound like you, and leave them on.
The confirmation goes out the moment a booking lands, including the one at 11:42 PM. The day before, the customer gets the time, the crew's names and whatever you wrote about parking. A customer who knows you're coming is home, or at least left the key.
When the crew marks the job done, the balance is charged and the receipt goes out with a way to tip. Then every customer is asked for a review, not only the ones you're sure loved it. Every email carries a link to book the same clean again.
KnoxAsking for a review costs nothing. Forgetting to ask costs you the review.
A customer who booked once gets a nudge to book again, with a link that fills in their last booking: same service, same home, same details. They pick a time and it's on your calendar. No phone call, no new quote.
A quote that didn't book gets three follow-up emails, and they stop the moment the customer books. When a card is declined, the customer hears about it from your company, politely, instead of from you, awkwardly, on the phone.
Each automation is a text box and an on/off switch. Rewrite it so it sounds like you, put your parking note in the reminder, or turn one off. When each one goes out is already worked out, so there's nothing to build.

- 8 ready-made automations
- Editable wording in your brand

- Sun, 10:15 PM.Dev Rao prices a standard clean for his 2-bedroom at 8 Oak Ave on your booking page. $180 plus HST. He closes the tab.
- Tue morning. The first quote follow-up lands. Nobody in your office remembered Dev existed, which is fine, because nobody had to.
- Wed, 7:52 AM.He books Friday at 9:00 and pays the $101.70 deposit. The confirmation goes out, and follow-ups two and three never do.
- Thu, 6:00 PM.The day-before reminder: Aisha and Leo, 9:00, street parking is fine.
- Fri, 8:41 AM.Aisha taps On my way. Dev gets the email and clears the kitchen table.
- Fri, 11:34 AM.Job done. The $101.70 balance is charged, the receipt goes out and Dev tips $20. That afternoon he's asked for a review, like every customer.
- Two Fridays later. The rebook nudge. One click, his last booking filled in, and he picks Friday, Nov 6.

Questions
What owners ask about automations
What automations should a cleaning business have?
The ones that cover the moments customers notice: a confirmation when they book, a reminder the day before, a heads-up when the crew is on the way, a receipt after, a review request, a nudge to book again, follow-ups for quotes that didn't book, and a notice when a card fails. Those are the eight presets in More Knocks, already written.
Do the automations send text messages?
Not yet. They go by email, from your company name. Text-message reminders are in development, and we'll mark them Live on this page the day they are.
Can I change what the emails say?
Yes. Every preset has its own wording you can rewrite and its own on/off switch. What you don't touch is the logic: when each one goes out and what sets it off is already worked out, so there's no workflow to build.
How early should I send an appointment reminder?
For home cleaning, the day before. Close enough that the customer remembers, early enough that they can find the key, put the dog away or tell you they need to move it while you can still fill the slot. More Knocks sends its reminder the day before every clean.
Do I need a customer's permission to send these emails in Canada?
Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) treats a message that only confirms or completes a transaction, like a booking confirmation or a receipt, differently from marketing: it doesn't need consent, though it still has to identify who sent it. A rebook nudge is closer to marketing, and a purchase in the last two years usually counts as implied consent under the law's existing business relationship rule (sections 6(6) and 10(10), read October 2026). How that applies to your company is a question for a lawyer.
What does the rebook link do?
It's in every customer email: the receipt, the thank-you and the rebook nudge. One click opens a booking with the customer's last clean already filled in, the same service and the same details, so they only pick a time. No phone call and no new quote.
